The submission is conducted online (not by email). However, for information related to the revision, acceptance, or rejection of a manuscript, are sent through email. Revisions in response to the reviewing of the reviewers must also be returned online.

General information

1. Register as an author in Jurnal Ilmiah dan Teknologi Kedokteran gigi before submitting and upload the manuscript on the http://journal.moestopo.ac.id/index.php/JITEKGI
   1. Select the "REGISTER" menu and proceed by filling the PROFILE columns, available ranging from "user name" to "register as".
   2. Check the "author" on the option of "register as" in the lower left corner.
   3. Save the data by clicking the "register" button on the lower left.
   4. If you have already registered, please select "click here" at the top left corner, or directly click "LOGIN" button by filling the username and password.
      1. Submitting a manuscript after completing the registration
         1. Submit a manuscript by clicking "NEW SUBMISSION" in the upper right.
         2. Subsequently check the five small columns available on the left, and click "SAVE and CONTINUE" at the bottom right.
         3. The following step is "UP LOADING THE SUBMISSION" by choosing the file (browsing) and uploading it.
         4. Once the upload is complete, please click "SAVE and CONTINUE" at the bottom right.
         5. Next, click on the "Entering the Submission's Metadata" and copy and paste the data on the available columns, such as title, abstract, etc.
         6. Subsequently click "SAVE and CONTINUE" at the bottom right.
         7. Perform the next steps until reaching the "CONFIRMING THE SUBMISSION" step by clicking the "FINISH SUBMISSION" button in the middle right that marks the end of submission.
         8. All forms of communication should be online based.
         9. The manuscript could be in the form of research or case report
         10. The manuscript should be in Microsoft Word (doc/docx) document file format (don’t use another format)
             1. The manuscript is formatted in A-4 size paper with "Times New Roman" 12 font, left aligned, 1.5 space.
             2.  The length of the manuscript shall be between 3000 to 4500 words.
             3. The minimum page number for manuscript is10 pages and maximum 15 pages  (including  references) with a page number

4. The manuscript must be original, either a result of field research or conceptual thinking, related to dentistry problems.
5. The manuscript is not currently under the process of submission to another journal and has never been published in any form. 

7. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English, in accordance with the applicable rules of language usage.

 

Manuscript Systematic

Title.

1. The title should be no more than 12 words (English) or 15 words (in Indonesian), describing the entire contents of the manuscript without acronym or abbreviation.
2. Letters are typed in Times New Roman font 14 in whole capital letters, centered, 1.5 space.

Author information.

1. Including author(s) name without any title, affiliation, address and corresponding e-mail,
2. Center aligned,  Times New Roman, 12 font, bold and 1 space
3. The end of the name marked by *, **, ***, etc. to show the address of the affiliate / institution
4. Correspondence, write down the name and e-mail address

 

Abstract.

1. Write the word "ABSTRACT" with capital, bold, Times New Roman, 12 font, single space

2. Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English (italics) in 1 paragraph, 150-250 words

3. Consists of subtitle by written in bold

a. Research Form : Background : …, Methods : …, Results: …, Conclusion:

b. Case report Form : Background : …, Case report: …, Conclusion: …

4.Accompanied by 3-5 keywords with no citation.

 

Section Structure

1. Authors are suggested to present their manuscript based on the format below:

   2. Case Report: Introduction, Case and Management, Discussion, and Conclusion, Acknowledgement, References
   2.Research form, authors must include an electronic copy of written and signed consent to publish information from the the housing ethic institution before submission. Submitted manuscripts must include this statement in the script

          3.Figures, tables and diagrams

1. 1. Mentioned in the text related, not as an attachment, in JPEG format with minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Written in Times New Roman 10 font with 1.15 space and center aligned.
   2. Numbered with Arabic numerals in sequence of appearance.
   3. The table is written above the inserted table (open table; horizontal lines without vertical lines)
   4. The figures and diagrams, the description is written under the inserted pictures.

4. Acknowledgement

Statement regarding financial support, work relations, resource ownership, expert consultation, grants or funding

1. 1. Written in Times New Roman 12 font with 1.15 space and left aligned.
   2. The composition of the references used in the manuscript should consist of 80% primary references (journals, proceedings) and a maximum 20% of secondary references (text book) published in the last 10 years.
   3. Reference is written in Vancouver format system and the reference number placed at the end of a sentence.
   4. References are arranged in order of appearance on the text.

Once the manuscript passed the peer reviewing process and is declared accepted, authors must submit a Declaration of Non-Plagiarism.

 

SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
3. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
