PEMAHAMAN TENTANG PESAN SUBLIMINAL (Tinjauan Aspek Kualitatif dan Kuantitatif)

Abstract


Subliminal telah menjadi isu utama sejak James A Vicary mengumumkan penelitian eksperimennya di tahun 1957. Tetapi banyak sarjana meragukan eksperimennya . Karena ia tidak menggunakan metode statistik yang benar. Kemudian pada 1973 Wilson Bryan Key datang dengan argumen kualitatif yang didasarkan pada psikoanalisis. Gambar seksual dan sensual tertanam pada pesan menjadi populer , terutama di tujuan periklanan . Tulisan ini mencoba untuk melihat subliminal dari perspektif yang berbeda yaitu dari perspektif kuantitatif .
