STRATEGI KAMPANYE DONALD TRUMP PADA PEMILIHAN UMUM AMERIKA SERIKAT

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Strategi Kampanye Donald Trump dalam Pemilihan Umum presiden Amerika Serikat tahun 2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu studi kepustakaan berupa buku, jurnal dan situs website serta rekaman tayangan berita dan pidato – pidato kampanye terkait. Di dalam penelitian ini, teori atau konsep yang digunakan adalah Big Data, Propaganda Politik dan Marketing Politik. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan memanfaatkan hasil Analisa big data, segmentasi sosial pemilih dapat dilakukan berdasarkan perilaku sosialnya. Hasil pengelompokan ini memudahkan untuk merumuskan targeted ads yang dikombinasikan dengan propaganda dengan metode Firehose of Falsehood. Strategi ini akhirnya sukses mengantarkan pasangan Donald Trump dan Mike Pence memenangkan pemilu Amerika Serikat tahun 2016.
