Evaluasi Geometri Peledakan terhadap Fragmentasi Batuan di Pit Tambang

Abstract


Kegiatan peledakan merupakan tahapan penting dalam operasi penambangan terbuka karena sangat menentukan kualitas fragmentasi batuan yang berpengaruh langsung terhadap efisiensi kegiatan penggalian dan pemuatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi geometri peledakan yang diterapkan pada tambang terbuka batubara serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap fragmentasi batuan yang dihasilkan. Penelitian dilakukan di Pit 3 Timur Banko Tengah PT Bukit Asam Tbk dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui observasi lapangan, pengukuran langsung, dan dokumentasi kegiatan peledakan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode Kuz-Ram dan metode image analysis dengan perangkat lunak Split Desktop untuk mengetahui distribusi ukuran fragmentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa geometri peledakan aktual menghasilkan fragmentasi yang kurang seragam dengan masih ditemukannya bongkahan berukuran besar. Perbaikan parameter geometri peledakan berupa burden, spacing, stemming, dan kedalaman lubang terbukti mampu meningkatkan kualitas fragmentasi batuan. Geometri peledakan usulan menghasilkan fragmentasi yang lebih optimal dan mendukung peningkatan efisiensi kegiatan penambangan.
