PERBANDINGAN KEKERASAN PERMUKAAN RESIN KOMPOSIT NANOHYBRID YANG DIRENDAM DALAM BERBAGAI MACAM OBAT KUMUR
Abstract
Latar belakang: Resin komposit nanohybrid merupakan salah satu bahan restorasi sewarna gigi yang sering digunakan saat ini. Ketahanan jangka panjang resin komposit setelah diaplikasikan di dalam rongga mulut kerap berkaitan dengan kekerasan permukaannya. Namun, berbagai faktor dalam rongga mulut dapat memengaruhi kekerasan permukaan, seperti gaya oklusal, saliva, serta kandungan bahan kimia pada makanan, minuman, maupun produk kebersihan mulut, contohnya obat kumur. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbandingan kekerasan permukaan resin komposit nanohybrid yang direndam dalam berbagai macam obat kumur. Metode penelitian: Tiga puluh buah sampel resin komposit nanohybrid yang berbentuk silindris dengan diameter 8 mm dan tebal 2 mm dibagi secara acak ke dalam tiga kelompok perendaman, yaitu obat kumur beralkohol, obat kumur bebas alkohol, dan obat kumur herbal. Sebelum perendaman, pH semua obat kumur diukur dengan pH meter. Seluruh sampel kemudian direndam selama 36 jam. Pengukuran kekerasan permukaan resin komposit dilakukan sebelum dan setelah perendaman menggunakan Vickers hardness tester. Hasil penelitian: Analisis data menggunakan uji one-way ANOVA menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dengan p=0,000 (p<0,05) di antara kelompok perendaman. Kesimpulan: Terdapat penurunan nilai kekerasan permukaan resin komposit nanohybrid yang direndam dalam seluruh kelompok obat kumur. Sampel yang direndam di dalam obat kumur beralkohol memiliki nilai kekerasan terendah, diikuti oleh obat kumur herbal dan obat kumur bebas alkohol.
