PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP MAHASISWA PROFESI KEDOKTERAN GIGI DKI JAKARTA TERHADAP PENERAPAN FOTOGRAFI DENTAL DI KLINIK
Abstract
Latar belakang: Salah satu bentuk penerapan “digital dentistry” adalah fotografi dental, yaitu sebuah pencitraan biomedik yang dapat merepresentasikan gambaran rongga mulut seperti keadaan aslinya. Fotografi dental merupakan hal yang sangat esensial karena dapat diterapkan dalam aspek berikut, seperti rekam medis, medicolegal, odontologi forensik, pemeriksaan, penegakan diagnosis dan rencana perawatan, edukasi (bagi mahasiswa dan pasien), publikasi ilmiah (penelitian dan studi kasus), dan komunikasi (dokter gigi, perawat, tekniker, dan pasien). Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan dan sikap mahasiswa program profesi fakultas kedokteran gigi (FKG) tentang fotografi dental. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross-sectional dengan melibatkan 197 mahasiswa program profesi FKG yang tersebar di DKI Jakarta, meliputi Universitas Trisakti, Universitas Prof. Dr. Moestopo (Beragama), Universitas Yarsi, dan Universitas Indonesia. Kuesioner (google form) berjumlah 29 pertanyaan, yang terdiri atas 14 pertanyaan pengetahuan dan 15 pernyataan sikap. Aspek pengetahuan dan sikap dikategorikan sebagai berikut: baik, cukup, dan kurang. Hasil: Sebanyak 66% mahasiswa memiliki pengetahuan yang baik terhadap fotografi dental, diikuti oleh 27% mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan cukup, dan 7% mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan kurang. Kemudian, mayoritas mahasiswa memiliki sikap baik (96%) terhadap fotografi dental. Kesimpulan Sebagian besar mahasiswa program profesi fakultas kedokteran gigi di DKI Jakarta memiliki tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap yang baik tentang fotografi dental. Untuk memaksimalkan penerapan fotografi dental dalam kegiatan klinik, fotografi dental perlu diintegrasikan dalam kurikulum kedokteran gigi.
