PERBANDINGAN AKURASI PENGUKURAN PANJANG KERJA MENGGUNAKAN METODE RADIOGRAFI DAN ELEKTRONIK PADA PERAWATAN ENDODONTIK

Abstract


Latar belakang: perawatan saluran akar bertujuan untuk menghasilkan kondisi lingkungan saluran akar yang sehat melalui proses penyembuhan akibat perawatan kontinu jaringan periradikuler yang mengalami infeksi. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan perawatan saluran akar adalah akurasi pengukuran panjang kerja. Metode yang umum digunakan dalam menentukan panjang kerja adalah radiografi dan elektronik. Metode radiografi dipengaruhi kualitas foto radiografi, sedangkan metode elektronik penggunaannya mudah namun tidak dapat memberikan informasi mengenai bentuk akar, jumlah akar, dan arah lengkung akar yang akurat. Tujuan : penelitian ini membandingkan tingkat akurasi pengukuran panjang kerja yang diukur dengan metode radiografi dan elektronik. Metode : sebanyak 30 gigi permanen rahang bawah yang telah diekstraksi dengan saluran akar tunggal, lurus, dan apikal telah tertutup dengan  sempurna dipotong horizontal pada garis servikal (cementoenamel junction) dengan menggunakan carborundum kemudian dipreparasi menggunakan File K #10 dan #15 secara berurutan. Sampel gigi kemudian dilakukan pengukuran panjang saluran akar dengan metode radiografi parallel, electronic apex locator (SybronEndo) dan pengukuran aktual yang kemudian diamati dengan menggunakan kamera lensa makro 100 mm. Data kemudian dilakukan analisis statistik dengan uji t Hasil : hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keakuratan pengukuran panjang kerja dengan metode elektronik terdapat pada sebanyak 17 sampel dari 30 sampel (56.7%) sedangkan pengukuran dengan metode radiografi hanya 1 sampel dari 30 sampel (3.3%). Kesimpulan : pengukuran panjang kerja dengan menggunakan metode radiografi dan elektronik memiliki akurasi yang sama. Kedua metode pengukuran menunjukkan nilai yang lebih mendekati panjang kerja aktual. Penelitian lebih lanjut secara in vivo perlu dilakukan karena hal ini menjadi keterbatasan yang dapat mempengaruhi ketepatan pengukuran dengan alat elektronik.
